Often we keep one or two promising puppies from a litter to allow them to grow up a bit more to see if they will have "the right stuff" for the show ring and our breeding program. We work and train them every day during this period. Sometimes they even are shown and win points and titles. If you're LUCKY, we have one listed here that's available. Fill out a Puppy Questionnaire and be specific about which older pup/dog you are interested in and email it to me.
UPDATE: We are looking at our time commitments and have made the difficult decision to place some of our Multi-Champion dogs, and some young "Dogs-In-Training". We also have a show prospect available. CLICK HERE to see photos of True and Scholar.
Jetta (Promise's Jetta - The Speed Of Light) is in training and available. Born May 4th, 2008 she is nicely put together, a light gold girl who would love to be someone's best friend. She gets along GREAT with other dogs, our cat and kids - and doesn't seem to mind training in the rain (when I took this photo). Even though she is in training, remember Goldens have VERY HAPPY TAILS so if you have very young children you will want to consider the trouble a happy tail might be. ;-) NEW PHOTOS SOON!
Kismet is a "teenager" at 24 months old. He is very light gold. His mom is a sister to our girl Skittles. That makes Jetta and Kismet cousins, because Jetta's mom is Skittles. Kismet is in training and Judy has used him as a Service Dog. He likes kids, other dogs, long walks on the beach... ;-) Click on his photo to see his page.
A happy boy, Kismet. 12 months old.
WE ARE CONSIDERING placing our beautiful black/white Springer BOOMER (UKC/Int'l/Nat'l CH Promise's Can You Hear Me Now) into a special home. He loves people and children, but is a little picky if the dog isn't a breed he's been around (I think he sees poodles, bichon's, newfies and other breeds as members of a weird cult or perhaps aliens from the "dwarf-planet" Pluto...). Ron is working with him on that. To read more about Boomer, click on his picture to go to his page. Would prefer to place him in California, so we can visit him.

DOGS THAT HAVE FOUND THEIR NEW FOREVER HOMES:
A Beautiful Liver/White Springer! 15 months old in this photo, English Springer Spaniel "DRIVER" (Promise's Drive N Determination) is now the BEST FRIEND to a wonderful family in Northern California. He will be visiting Promise Kennels in January of 2010 after he completes his clearances for a little R&R. His parents are Multi-Champion Keeli (AKC/UKC/Int'l CH Promise's Keeli Ni' Sierra, CGC) and Tuggy (AKC CH Silverhills Sea Dog Go). Click on his photo to see more.
Susie (AKC/UKC/Int'l CH Citrine's Girl, Interrupted) is a Best In Show winner but had an emergency spay 3 weeks into her first pregnancy due to a uterine infection (pyometra). We found her a terrifically wonderful pet home. She is living with her new owners spending part of the year in Coronado, CA and the other half in Arizon! Susie is trained, loves people and other dogs, even our cat. Susie has all her clearances -hips(good) elbows(normal) heart(normal) and eyes-CERF(normal). Click on Susie's photo to see more!
DIAMOND, U-CH Promise's Bling-Bling NXS was placed into a pet home. She is smaller than I want in my breeding program. Diamond became a BRILLIANT addition to a wonderful young couple in Sacramento! Maybe my daughter Jennifer and granddaughter Adrienne will see her occasionally, as they live in the same neighborhood!
"Princess" Harley is a multi-Champion titled, sweet girl who is wonderful with kids, other dogs, cats and traveling. Smart and well-trained, Harley walks great on the leash, is crate and house trained, potties on command and even TALKS. She may be a small package, but she has a BIG personality! To read more about Harley, click on her photo to visit her page. Princess Harley has found her Forever Home with her new Springer Friend "Rascal" and her new "dad" Ed - who has PROMISED photo updates!
GOLDEN PUPS IN TRAINING! Gambit (L) and Player (R). Gambit & Player have both been placed with a wonderful, caring home.
We have retired Angel... She is the mom to many of our beautiful Promise puppies. Please call if you would like more specifics. She has all her clearances, of course, is an International Championship and is Champion pointed in the UKC ring. She is a happy girl, good in the house, walks well on lead and is a smaller girl - weighing in at about 58 pounds. THANK YOU LISA & Dennis R. in Sacramento for falling in love with our Angel and sharing your wonderful home with her! Lisa, Angel and our granddaughter Adrienne shown here at the Rancho Cordova dog show Labor Day weekend. Angel left her show career with a bang, gathering 6 Reserve Best Females... and 1 major away from completing her UKC Champion title. Her NEW title is SCP, for Supreme Couch Potato!
DITTO HAS A NEW AND WONDERFUL HOME! THANK YOU Brad! Ditto gets to go to work with Brad every day. I know he's one happy boy!
